Canyon Crest

The neighborhood currently known as Canyon Crest was originally 200 acres of agriculture land known as the Monte Vista Nursery. If you drive along Monte Vista Drive today, you'll see the lovely, large California Craftsman Bungalow built in 1910 which was in the heart for the nursery's groves. What we know today as Canyon Crest was created through multiple land annexations from the acres of orange groves. The first annexation was in 1959 and the last was in 1986. This accounts for the varied architectural styles in the neighborhood. Canyon Crest has grown up to become one of Riverside's most desirable neighborhoods. The tree lined streets meander up and down steep, hilly terrain where you'll find lovely family homes and great views of Downtown Riverside and beyond. The neighborhood's proximity to UCR and downtown makes it a favorite place for local residents. The Canyon Crest Country Club and the Town Center are wonderful resources for the area adding to it's desirability.
